About Me

I was born and raised in Manassas, VA. I was surrounded by music from a young age thanks to my mother, a music teacher.
Growing up, I played numerous instruments, eventually landing on trumpet and bass guitar. When I got to high school, I got bit by the acting bug and auditioned for The Pajama Game. I never looked back, and I decided that I was going to study Musical Theatre in college after a masterclass with Marc Kudisch.
I studied at James Madison University in Virginia, pursuing a degree in Musical Theatre Performance. During my time there, I discovered a love of direction that I explored in sold-out productions of Godspell and Assassins. Before my Senior year, I performed in my first professional production: The Pirates of Penzance at Toby's Dinner Theatre.
I began my directing career in the DC area by serving as Assistant Director to Matt Gardiner for La Cage Aux Folles at Signature Theatre. I have directed all over the area since then. My 2019 production of Legally Blonde garnered 7 Helen Hayes nominations, including Best Production and Best Director.
I have been fortunate to work in various capacities with many theatres in the DC area, including The Kennedy Center, Signature Theatre, Keegan Theatre, NextStop Theatre, Imagination Stage, Adventure Theatre, Rorschach Theatre, and The American Pops Orchestra.
I currently direct, act, write plays, and teach in Washington, D.C. While I have a fondness for all types of theatrical works, I am often drawn to musicals. I love collaborating with others and cultivating a healthy and creative rehearsal room. Want to know more about what makes me tick? Send me a message in the "Contact" tab!
