As a playwright, Ricky's work has been seen all over the DC Area.

His newest musical, Desiderium, had a reading with Monumental Theatre Company in July 2020. The musical, featuring the music of The Oh Hellos,

follows a family in the wake of an untimely death.

His first musical, Still Alive, had a workshop production at James Madison University in Spring 2017. Still Alive is your typical robot/zombie apocalypse-survival musical. Full of camp and full of homages to the great sci-fi B Movies of old, the show is an action-packed thrill ride. Previously, the show had readings at The Kennedy Center and NextStop Theatre Company.
